SALLISAW– On Thursday afternoon, the Lady Black Diamond shut out the Poteau Lady Pirates 4-0 in a game that was dominated by Sallisaw.

Early on, the Sallisaw ladies showed their dominance. Just 20 seconds into the contest Bella Morales hit paydirt with the game’s opening goal.

Morales went on to score two more in a row for a pure hat trick (three consecutive goals) to take her total to 10 goals on the season.

The Lady Pirates had difficulty advancing the ball past mid-field thru a stiff Sallisaw defense for the entire contest.

The Lady Black Diamonds added another score in the second half with a goal by freshman Kensley Oren, her fifth of the year.

All of Sallisaw’s goals were unassisted.

The Lady Diamonds (6-6) will be back in action next Tuesday when they travel to Hilldale to face the Lady Hornets (4-3), and Poteau (1-5) returns home to face Stilwell (2-5) that same day.
