WEBBERS FALLS – On Monday afternoon, the Gore Pirates wasted no time and scored 6 runs in the opening inning to start the domination of the Webbers Falls Warriors.
A combination of Webber errors and the Hot bats of the Pirates led to the lopsided 14-0 win for Gore.
Gore Varsity Pirates scored early after an error and several big hits in the first two innings, including a three-run homer by Ward.
By the third inning, Kyler McGee added another run.
Gage Dame pitched three scoreless innings for Gore, allowing just one hit and striking out five. Webbers Falls managed only one hit from Gunner Shelby.
Gore finished with 10 hits; Wyatt Willard-Smith and Dame had two each, while Cruz Ward and Willard-Smith drove in three runs apiece.
The Pirates played error-free defense, led by Kason Short with five put outs.
Webbers Falls will face Midway Tuesday while the Pirates return home to play Arkoma.
