WARNER – The Warner Lady Eagles just got by the Panama Ladybacks Tuesday night to remain in the winners bracket of the 2026 OSSAA State Tournament.

Warner held Panama off the scoreboard for the opening 4 minutes of the contest and led at the end of the first period 9-5 in a defensive battle.

The second period belonged to the Ladybacks, topping Warner 9-6 to get within 1 point at the break 15-14.

Paisley LaBounty held the Lady Eagles in the second period scoring all 6 Warner points. The Freshman LaBounty was the top point getter for Warner, scoring 18 points in the contest.

After the break the game was never separated by more than 2-points with the lead changing hands several times.

In the final period, LaBounty became the target of fouls by the Ladybacks, in an attempt to regain possession and the lead. LaBounty had 12 attempts at the free throw line and was 50% scoring 6 times plus one from the floor for an 8-point period.

Her Sister, Junior Ella LaBounty provided the scoring for the Lady Eagles in the third quarter hitting four 2-pointers for an 8 point third period.

For Panama, the Ladybacks spread the scoring over six players during the game. Ridgley Dill and Kylee Gollihare had the most with 8 points each, Gracyn Weaver with 7, Heidi McGuire had 6, Kenna Nixon, 5 and Sky Bluford 4 points. The Tournament now moves to Latta where both teams remain in play.

No. 20 Warner (17-10) will face the host No. 8 ranked Latta (17-9) with both teams guaranteed a spot in the Area Tournament in Checotah March 5th thru 7th.

Panama (19-7) will match up with the winner of Thursday’s game between Coalgate (7-17) and Wewoka (10-15) in a Must Win game to remain in the tournament.
