SALLISAW – The Hilldale Lady Hornets (10-6) handed Sallisaw (7-9) their third loss in a row Tuesday night when they defeated the Lady Black Diamonds 5-1.
It started well for Sallisaw with Kyra Taylor getting the goal with a shot off the bottom of the crossbar in the fourteenth minute to give Sallisaw a 1-0 lead.
That lead lasted just eleven minute until Gabby Dover, The Lady Hornets leading goal scorer, 8 on the season, tied the game at 1-all.
From that point it was all Hilldale. Dover netted 4 of the five goals in the game.
Next up for the Lady Hornets will be a home contest against the Poteau Lady Pirates (4-7) on the 25th, and Sallisaw will travel to Wagoner to take on the 8-4 Lady Bulldogs.
